2nd Annual Fish Immunology and Vaccinology Conference

April 22, 2022

After two long years of Covid19 pandemic we finally had a chance to continue with a 2nd Annual Fish Immunology and Vaccinology Conference!
We are proud of a growing number of attendees and happy that many of them this year were Master's students, who presented their experimental setups and results in form of posters.

FIV2022

April 22, 2022

2022 edition was generously supported by KVARØY Fiskeoppdrett AS. Thanks to the extended conference budget we were able to host an excellent keynote speaker, Professor Samuel Martin from University of Aberdeen, provide all attendees with Book of Abstracts, and KVARØY's marchendise, as well as have a delicous lunch and coffee breaks. Schedule was filled with interesting talks and a poster session where our Master students could practice presentation skills.

We hope to bring the FIV Conference to even higher, fully international level during upcomming editions.

Huge thanks to all participants!

FIV2020 - 1st Annual Fish Immunology and Vaccinology Conference

October 9, 2020

First annual FIV conference provided a venue to share ideas and generate new collaborations.

We aimed to foster interactions among established investigators, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students interested in immune function in fish. We also aimed to present ongoing research into fish immunology and vaccinology to potential master students at the University of Tromsø - the Arctic University of Norway.

FIV2020

October 9, 2020

With climate change, pollution and diseases, both wildlife and domesticated fish species used globally in aquaculture face severe challenges. The study of fish immunology provides unique insight into immunobiology, medicine and evolution and the potential for novel therapeutics for the aquaculture industry.
